Aultbea and the surrounding
area generally enjoy a gentle climate,
benefiting from the Gulf Stream, and as a result there are

outdoor activities to enjoy besides the obvious attractions
of the natural safe golden sandy beaches.
The mountains of Stac Polly, An Teallach,
Slioch, Ben Eighe and Torridon
are all visible from the hotel and within easy access for
a day’s climb.
The 14 mile Great Wilderness
Challenge via Fionn Loch also begins from the hotel. For
cyclists there are plenty of quiet trails to follow and
